St. Marteen

Do I get tired of seeing planes? I don't think so.

St. Maarten is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. This small island in the Caribbean is divided into two; the other constituent is St. Martin, which is a French territory. 

I stayed at Maho Beach resort primarily to have a sighting of planes on the beach. The airport runway is located just at the end of Maho beach.  That being said, the most famous attraction of the Maho beach is the takeoff and landing of planes you can see on the beach. It is the best place to watch planes while sunbathing or just relaxing with a perfect Caribbean drink. 

Every time I spotted a plane landing, I got excited taking photos.  It's a cool thing to do and a cool place to enjoy this activity. Even if you are not an aviation enthusiast, you will surely like it.  And if you are, like me, it would give you a different experience. 

Walking on the beach and seeing how the water reacts to the winds while the plane is taking off and landing was entertaining. You'll be blown away as the water.  It's an incredible sight—a unique experience.

There is nothing so relaxing than having breakfast with a beautiful view of the island. While the sun was setting and a bird is serenading in front of you. While breathing the fresh air and hearing the soft sound of the waves. It's a perfect world. A perfect scene. A perfect time. 

I didn't only have a great time watching planes passed by.  I did enjoy watching the day unfolded, staring at the tranquil beach with a drink in my hand. I waited to see the sun sets on the other side of the island.  It was a beautiful day. 

I wanted to explore the French side of the island.  I booked a boat tour. Unfortunately, I needed to have a visa, which I didn't have at that time.  I felt bad, but it was a learning experience. 

Seeing the Dutch side of the island - St. Marteen, was already a wonderful experience.  I would go back to explore the other beautiful side of this island. 

Maho Beach resort is a beautiful place.  I had a good stay and a great time. Seeing my favorite Caribbean countries hit by hurricanes devastates my heart. 

I love the Caribbean. I have wonderful memories and beautiful photos to remember.
